Biography
Umar Sadiq is a Nigerian professional football player who plays as a striker. He was born on February 2, 1997, in Kaduna, Nigeria. Umar began his youth career at the Abuja Football College before moving to Italy to join Spezia's youth academy. In 2015, he made his professional debut for Spezia in Serie B, the second division of Italian football. Umar quickly caught the attention of top Italian club AS Roma, who signed him in 2016. During his time at Roma, he spent several seasons on loan at other clubs, including Bologna, Torino, and NAC Breda in the Netherlands. In the 2020-2021 season, Umar joined Serbian club Partizan Belgrade on loan. He had an impressive season, scoring 23 goals in 34 appearances and helping Partizan win the Serbian SuperLiga title. His performances earned him a permanent transfer to Almería in La Liga 2, the second division of Spanish football. Umar has also represented the Nigerian national team at various youth levels and made his senior debut in 2017. However, he hasn't been a regular member of the senior team.
