Biography

Marcos Acuña is an Argentine professional football player. He was born on October 28, 1991, in Zapala, Argentina. Acuña primarily plays as a left midfielder but can also operate as a left-back. He is known for his versatility, work rate, and technical ability. Acuña began his professional career at Ferro Carril Oeste in Argentina, where he played from 2010 to 2014. He then moved to Racing Club, another Argentine club, where he had a successful stint from 2014 to 2017. During his time at Racing, Acuña won the Primera Division title in 2014. In 2017, Acuña made a move to European football and signed for Sporting CP in Portugal. He quickly established himself as a key player for the club, contributing with goals and assists from his left-wing position. Acuña played an important role in Sporting's success in the Primeira Liga and Taça da Liga. His impressive performances at Sporting CP caught the attention of top European clubs, and in August 2020, he joined Sevilla in Spain.
